Gotcha, I did a lot of bowhunting mostly with compounds, but I have a handful of recurves. I've shot thousands of fish with a recurve, plus some rabbits, squirrels and other small game.

I’m the only one in my entire family who loves camping, backpacking, etc. So hunting/fishing not something I grew up with and just never picked it up.

It sucks getting old. 45 pounds is about all I can draw without constant practice which I don’t have time for.

You use a lot of muscles that don't normally get worked when shooting. I use to shoot year round, even 15 yards in the basement during winter. I did shoot my son's 50# recurve about a year ago

But it felt like my elbow was going to blow up. Doctor told me I have the elbow of a 90 year old.

Longbows are fun. I've got a Hun bow and a recurve with different arms for it. I used to ride my mule and shoot the Hun bow, loads of fun

I've shot a few long bows but never owned one. Shooting a hun bow from a saddle would be bad ass!
