tip
What would you do if you worked for yourself comfortably, but had a pretty good job offer to work for someone else nearby?
Once you work for yourself, every other boss is a douchebag.

I am self employed and the only way I would even consider working for someone else would be becuase of serious financial/eceonomic downturn or major health issues.

Hey there Adele smile I think you’re both right, I guess my ego just wants a bit more. Not been feeling very fulfilled with my work for a long time.

I work for myself, the boss is great but the staff are dicks.... looking at NN when they should be doing other shit.... etc

Ha I know right, Eric. I’ll actually have to start going to sleep at a proper time.

But addressing the question, can easily go back to self or maybe phase the 'job' in if that's an option?

You’re right, I suppose I can always go back, although I’ll have lost my regular clients. Lots of little things to consider.

Does this job have amazing benefits and a lot of money? also not many people can say they make a comfortable life working for themselves,a lot struggle.

Well, better benefits than I have working for myself, but yes, a lot more money. Of course you’re right though, I’m not complaining, just struggling with the decision. First world problems smile

No I don't blame you,it's a hard decision to make whether to stay with what you are doing or give up your independence of being your own boss,I'm pretty sure you will be happy either way. I'm guessing

there's no way to get that job and keep your business on the side?

The key factor may be not feeling fulfilled for a while. Self employment requires self motivation and fatigue/burnout/whatever can start making it really difficult to stay motivated and successful

I hope so, Adele. I’m usually happy with my lot. I don’t actually know if I could do that, might be too much on my plate, but I guess it is an option if I could ease into the new job.

That’s my predicament summed up pretty well, cmp.

I never made any money in life, until my dollar started working for me..... And owning my own company was the only way I found, to quit working for a dollar

That sucks! And it is something that is very difficult to explain to people that have never been in that position.

Tug, if you ever write a book on self employment, I expect that to be on the cover.

At one point I wanted to quit for greener grass so instead, I hired people and gave them greener grass... And now, my grass is even greener....
