WOnderful heartfelt blog. I had a friend who had work wildfires in Idaho many years ago and had lost friends in a flashover there, so I understand the kind of danger that you face out there. I salute you, your crew, and all the others who, along with you, battled incredible odds to bring those fires under control. You folks are TRUE heroes!!!!
If I was nearby, I would buy you a drink, at least a cup of coffee :)

Thank you everybody for all the comments, I am truley grateful, the support has been unbelievable and the younger ones in the crew were overwhelemed by the comments and support, it gives them purpose and determination to continue what they do. I am very thankful of my crews and others that have spent so much time standing on the front line of their own free will.
