Oh, my sweet friend. Wish I could hug you right now. I know how you're feeling. So many others will too. Yes, you would regret it if you didn't forge ahead. You so would. I dropped a writing class like that in college. I still regret it. I'd have to ask classmates to read my stuff aloud in high school because I was so shy.

Don't you dare give up on yourself. You can totally do this. It won't be easy but you'll be proud. Honour the 12 year old dreamer in you. She knew what she needed to do. xoxoxo

Give it a go ... at least you can say you tried .
You will probably surprise yourself . I hate speaking in front of people too .... if it helps picture them naked ( i am sure you would be great at that too )

Hang in there Brookie, you are a great writer and a challenge like this will only make you better.

Brooke, I think you'll do well. As a writer, I can tell you that one of the greatest things about writing fiction is that you're making stuff up, and some will like it and some won't but NO ONE CAN TELL YOU YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. If you want to imagine a world populated by rainbow unicorns, then dammit, somewhere out there in the metaphysical universe there's a world that exactly matches your description because you created it the moment you wrote about it. It can be very freeing if you let it.

Having said that, there will be a lot to learn about the "right" way to structure things, and you can PM me anytime if you need help understanding anything.
