I dropped a writing class like that in college. I still regret it. I'd have to ask classmates to read my stuff aloud in high school because I was so shy. Don't you dare give up on yourself. As a writer, I can tell you that one of the greatest things about writing fiction is that you're making stuff up, and some will like it and some won't but NO ONE CAN TELL YOU YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. If you want to imagine a world populated by rainbow unicorns, then dammit, somewhere out there in the metaphysical universe there's a world that exactly matches your description because you created it the moment you wrote about it. It can be very freeing if you let it. Having said that, there will be a lot to learn about the "right" way to structure things, and you can PM me anytime if you need help understanding anything.
