hey guys..try bouncing the flash off the ceiling or use a filter in front of the flash..try using some extra lighting around the room in stead of the flash.. hope it helps..would love to help take some pics..;-)

You have to diffuse (soften) the direct flash. You can either buy one that fits your camera or you can make one yourself. Here is a URL to help give you an idea of what is involved. Good luck..:)

Try the nob near your on/off switch,there sould be a symbol of a flash in a box with a line going through it(bit like a no smoking sign).

best lighting is natural lighting...if you can set the shot up next to a window with heaps of natural light....then you shouldn't need the flash...or the flash will be just a filler and not so harsh....
All great pics anyway...;-)
P.S. Make sure and tell me where the window is first!!
