Oddly enough, had the same issue with the one I got too - did you by chance buy it here since that seems to be the way they work over here. Sorry it was such a pain in the tooshie! xoxo

Didn't buy it in G-Vegas bound....got it at the Williamston store (they were the only ones that had a belt for my older model Cub Cadet)

if customer satisfaction means anything to them... and i think TSC considerates high on the list.... they should pick it up... bring a temp replacement and return the repaired mower...contact the store manager and go up the ladder from there...
