Before we get into a non-pillow fight or resentment feelings about a day that has been promoted into a "couples" day, let us remember that is is a 'promoted' day encouraged by candy-makers, restauranteers, sexy-clothing makers and others that haven't given a shit about those who don't have partner as such (willingly or unwilling) or have the wrong partner.
There are more "single" humans than ever before.
There are also parts of "couples" that take delight in pointing out: "I've got mine." - No matter how miserable one or the other partner is.
Yes, it's nice to be in a relationship. - Usually.
But not because someone designated a date to be so.

Every day , any day, can be one in which one can feel they can say: "I'm glad to be part of your world and you part of mine."
And it doesn't have to be the fourteen of February.
Ideally, it would be every day.
Enjoy the day, evening and night!

I know, it's not the key's fault.
But sometimes, after writing something and hitting the enter key to activate it and send a message, I wish the "enter" or "return" key on a keyboard had a macro requiring me to hit it twice before sending.
Oh wait, it does! It's called ME!

Have you ever:
Shopped for a tool for a one-time use and decided on the cheaper model only to find it is a good-quality model that you've used again and again?
Ever driven through a heavy storm with no apparent end only to turn a curve to find clear skies and a beautiful rainbow?
After making your leave, expecting only a smile, been grabbed by the arm and taken down the hall for the best sex you'll remember for a long time?

Enjoy it and cherish it! You never know when it may happen again.
It's a better feeling than winning the lottery.

Almost decided to get out and go see the Harlem Globetrotters. But it's cold out and we would be in line for about an hour getting the high-priced tickets. I talked myself out of it.
The team can not only play great basketball, they also put on a heck of a show, suitable for kids and the young at heart alike.
It's been years since I saw them play and act up. Probably missing a great show, but right now I'd rather stay warm than look down at a game with binoculars.

Pasta, carbonara style for dinner tonight.
Very good, but not quite as good as the favorite Italian restaurant.
I'll keep working on it.
There's still some panchetta and a s..it-load of ham left in the fridge. I will have to replace the half and half though.
