Wednesday, July 20, 2011, 9:01:17 AM- The result
drum roll........please

I did say I would kep you posted so..

He was very nervous. Said it was like going to court. Very official.

He was reported earlier this year for making contact with an umpire and was fined $300. here was no damage done - apart from the fine and that was ok.

His mates were saying he could be suspende between 4 - 6 weeks. That is a significant penalty.

So....have I drawn the suspense out long enough? Esp seeing as no one but me should really be interested.

Well he was found not guilty. Unavoidable contact in the course of the game. he was very relieved.

Unfortunately I am unable to get my hand on the vision or I would post it and you could make up your owm mind.

Tuesday, July 19, 2011, 8:18:26 AM- The game is getting soft!
Son came home Sunday night and said he ran through an opponent and cleaned him up. It was the result of a contest for the ball. He said he knocked the bloke senseless and he had to be carried off.

He said he asked about the bloke after the game and was told he was alright. He was pretty proud of himself seeing he is just a small player.

Monday on the way home he gets a call from the footy club saying he has been reported on video evidence and has to go to the Tribunal for a hearing. Now he is not so proud.

The tribunal hearing is tonight and he is on his way.

He says it does not help that the video guy says "Jeeessssuuussss!" just after the hit. So it looks pretty bad.

What gets me is he has been knocked out a few times. He had his ear nearly severed and had to have plastic surgery to sew it back on. No reports.

I hope he gets off. I know he likes it tough but is never malicious.

Will let you know how he gets on.

Sunday, May 15, 2011, 12:13:14 AM- After a hard day at the office

An attorney arrived home late after a very tough day trying to get a stay of execution for his client.

His last minute plea to the governor for clemency had failed and he was feeling worn out and depressed.

As soon as he walked through the do or at home, his wife started on him: “What time of night to be getting home is this?
Where have you been? Dinner is cold and I'm not reheating it” . . . . . and on and on and on.

Too shattered to play his usual role in this familiar ritual, he poured himself a shot of whiskey and headed off for a long hot soak in the bathtub - - - pursued by his wife and her predictable sarcastic remarks as he dragged himself up the stairs.

While he was in the bath, the phone rang.

The wife answered and was told that her husband's client, James Wright, had been granted a stay of execution after all.

Wright would not be hanged tonight.

Finally realizing what a terrible day he must have had, and how terribly inconsiderate she had been, she decided to go up stairs and give him the good news.

As she opened the bathroom door, she was greeted by the sight of her husband, bent over naked, drying his legs and feet.

“They're not hanging Wright tonight!” she said.

He whirled around and screamed, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN, DON'T YOU EVER STOP?!'

Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 8:49:56 AM- Lots happening
yet I still still lead a boring life. lol

NN tho, I think has ingrained itself into me.

I was watching a show on TV the other night - "How I Met Your Mother". In this rerun episode the main charachter ( Ted ) meets a girl at a wedding and, of couse, is smitten with her. It turns out she made the wedding cake and so I naturally thought of NN.

I love your cakes Krick

Friday, March 4, 2011, 12:27:44 AM- Things might be looking up
I am not going to get too excited tho. A bloke rang me and said he was an Electrical Safety Spotter and said he has been getting heaps of work. asked if I would be prepared to subie for him.

It would be at a reduced rate but might fill in the gaps nicely. I would rather earn something than sit at home getting nothing - tho I do miss NN lol.

Any way - heres hoping
