I am always glad, now when the working week is done, 3 days to me, then and well, just see, how it pans out.

I got some good news, my focus is back to normal in my left eye now, had the test a few weeks ago and finally got the phonecall too, say all is well.

Bloods done last week and still got the bruising to show for it lol.

I really need some sunny weather, never thought, |I would say such a thing, must be an age thing.

Might see, if I can wander with the camera tomorrow, forecast is not promising, might just end up going without it and seeing, what is around.

Thankfully got a little colour in, the garden with the Daffodils, needs a click on it, too, see it at its best, sure made me smile, when taking the pictures.

All in yesterday, I walked just shy of 10 miles, a large chunk, was in the afternoon, when I done , just over 7.5miles, the rest was in the morning. I also had the camera back pack on, with the long lens and one other, throw in my tripod and ball head and the other bits and pieces, was a very good test, this morning no ill effects, no added pain, that the usual everyday ones, but it lets me know, that I can do it now.

Not easy miles, good rise in elevation, but I was wanting to get somewhere, I wanted to sit in a spot and get lost. To see, if there was the potential of photos, I thought there was. These are massive beech trees, that run along a ridge, the fields fall away too, the left, as I walk along, the one thing, that waste's it, is the fence that runs beside them and powerlines, at the end.

I sat in my spot, can see, forever here, it is like my mountain summit, the Mouse and me, use to walk here, her home, was only 4 fields from here and until one, day I took her, there , there, she never knew off, the beauty of here. My memories of her came flooding back and the fun times we had,

I tend to stay away from places and things , that bring me happy memories, as I sat there yesterday, I saw that. now, as I write, this, and look at the screen, is that why, I am really drifting away from here.


Another for my black and white project, this tree is a symbol for me, it will always hold happy memories.

Some blogs are just best written with silent keystrokes on, the keyboard..

I usually keep certain pictures for myself, this one, fitted the bill, but it was one, off three, that I had from this morning, it is a view, that, I am happy with, but, the critical me, see's what is just not right, but, it gives me, something to work for.. Hopefully people looking at this one, are happy, with it..

I go back to work, tomorrow, just go in, do my job and come home, that is the plan from now on. I do my own thing and get left alone.

I am in a happy place, I pretty much just go with the flow, so much to look forward too, not like me, but a bit of warmer weather would be nice, but just clear skies would be nice, we just never seem to get them here now, for so long, I had hoped that night photography would have been something, that would have been part of my way, so never ever did buy a really nice fast prime lens for this.

This is blog 16 for the year, I have ben enjoy them, different from the old ones, where I shared more of the old days, but I know, that they will pop up now and again, for those times, are a massive part of my journey to, where I am now.

I might try and add a few more pictures, that tell the story of my little adventures, those random shots, maybe 6 or so, could this be a little monthly challenge too think about.

But I have one last one from this week, the male Hazel flowers, I enjoy these type of pictures, I hope to do a lot of flower photography this year, not just wild, but garden too..

Just like , everyone else, taking pictures, I get something, that I just think. nope, it does not work. I took this picture of the old bridge, dread to think how many times, I have walked over this and yes, can remember it, when I would have been happy to shoot this, but all the little trees and there branches, is just clutter, now I might go to, the bank on the left side and look.

I did shoot . it, as a black and white, I had to balance the tripod in a hedge, got funny looks from a passing walker, who did like the picture, when I showed them.

Cold weather forecast for the end of the week, well frost, my praying for snow, is not working.

I woke early, the planned coastal walk, never happened, the wind was, just not blowing hard enough, for where, I wanted, just the way it goes sometimes, but, in a little break this afternoon, I did get out, 7 days in a row, 7 different pictures, it must be years since, I have done this.

So, i managed what I wanted in a way.

My photography journey, is on going. I am working on a few little projects, might make a little book for myself at the end of them, there is no time scale, will know, when, they are done.

But now, it will be a week off, just back to keeping it fresh.

It is pictures, like this, that you get to see, the image better at, a larger size, Hazel flowers, so tiny, took me an age to see some, then kept losing them, so much was against me, but in the end not one but two, never had this before, it is just the small things, that make me smile.

I got told today, it is a waste of holidays, because, I take my birthday off, on holiday, each year, this year, I took 4 days as it was on Tuesday, was only going to take 2 days but the way work was, it ended with 4.

The weather, has not been the best, but I have got out, each day, 6 days with the camera now, I stood this morning for an hour at a tree, I like to shoot, never even pressed the shutter once, had a talk with a few dog walkers and was back in the house and sitting to breakfast around 9, the rain really started, after then.

I took Facebook and Messenger of my last device , forgot it was on this, as it can be a week or two in between uses,, Instagram, went as well today, I have over 1200 days left of premium here, just saw that today.

I would like to be up and out, too, the coast tomorrow morning, a storm is hitting and would be nice to shoot some waves., but will just wait and see, how, I am when I wake at my usual 4am. The bag is all ready one lens and my camera, travel light.

I was thinking back to when, I had my breakdown, I was 16 and life, just spiralled out off control, I could not even leave the house for a while, but then one night, I xxxxxxxxxx myself, I walked to my gate, stood and ran back in, but it was the start to getting better, walked at night. then one morning, I got up and just walked out door in the daylight, was still early, never looked back from then, within another few weeks, I started to get some work and after a bit longer, fell back into working all the time. I thought that keeping busy all the time, would keep me safe.


Thankfully the garden , gave me, my picture, today, the little crocus, are just coming into bloom, another one of my signs of the seasons changing..

My 57th year on this world, has been , a very trying one, but still, how lucky, I really have been, as such minor side effects of the Stroke, but I know, how lucky I was, But yesterday, I started my 58th year on this world.


I have used the camera, 5 days in a row , for me, that is a lot, but really been trying to get something different each day, I am ready for a break now, maybe tomorrow or from Friday.
Today a black and white, when I headed out, it was how i was thinking, I am enjoying taking them and my editing of them, I think is getting better, the learning, is what, I enjoy.

I am glad, that clicking on the little thumbnail picture, lets people see a more larger image, I know, some of my pictures benefit by seeing them large.

Four days walked the same route, each day something different taken. will see, the weather and might try for the coast, if not still got a few coastal pictures from the other weeks.

So here is today's picture, a little bit of wildlife, i got a new pair of trousers all covered in mud, had to get down and crawl a little bit to get into a better position, I like to get in, get my picture and get back out, without disturbing, all that training, still being out too use ,,

I waited a while to get them, all with there heads up, plenty of them feeding, but I was hoping for more something like this..
