My boss complained about how I only seemed to get sick on weekdays. I explained that it was my weekend immune system.
I knew a really old guy who refused to retire. Said why should he be sick on HIS time.

Back after 3 weeks of vacationing in Europe: a cruise up the Rhine, Switzerland, and Austria. It's good to be home, though: glad to have the kitties around and sleep in my own bed.
Not sure why it's called Rhine in English, it's not as appealing as its original name Rhone. I bet you had great food in your travels. smile

2 different rivers, both rise in Switzerland. Rhone flows south and empties into the med. Rhine rises in Switzerland and flows north through germany and empties into the north sea.

Spending the weekend cleaning masses of clutter from my office. Still working on taxes and paperwork. Drinking lots of coffee and trying to find stuff to watch on the computer in the background.

Lots going on--work being pestiferous but generally good, doing a bunch of tax stuff, lots of cleanup in the new house. I give it maybe 73% all told. smile

95% done with COVID, but the last bits keep hanging on. sad Pretty much over the tiredness, but the smell in the back of the nose and coughing are still here. Bleah. sad Nevertheless, mending... slowly

Mid-January: on the mend from Omicron. Kept me out of work for a week and then on light duty for another week. Week 3 and I'm 90-95%, but still coughing and having fits of tiredness. sad

I should've thrown the beans in the pressure cooker to soften them further, so I have 3 gallons of great chili simmering on the stove still. In an hour, I'll turn it off and then pack for freezing.

^^^ Nature abhors empty space, it's like a vacuum, stuff must be and will be moved onto it.

I subscribe to the theory that stuff behaves like a gas and will quickly expand to uniformly fill it's container.
