A wonderful member will be missed. Even though he was just here to view and chat, he was loved by so many members. His many years as a member proved that not everyone has to post pictures in order to make friends. Sea was my friend for years on and off NN and I cherished his love for me.

By-The-Sea was one of those members that everyone liked and respected and was around since the early days of NN.

A valued member of this site. He will be missed by any who knew him. I know him and I only said a few things to one another but I was a loyal blog reader and commenter. I for one will miss him. My thoughts to his family and friends.

I just hope he is ok. He battled and beat cancer once. I'm pretty sure he was in another fight with it and thought the end was near. I don't know if we'll ever know what becomes of him but I will always wish him the best.

I received a letter from By-The-Seas son.

Sea passed away peacefully last Thursday. His son told me that Sea passed on quietly as he watched The Big Bang Theory.

My thoughts are of my dear friend/pen pal as well as his family.

He was special in his own way. He had lots of friends and he mostly hung out in blog land but he was able to cut a niche out here in the land of naked people in a way that only could have been done by a kind old man named By-the-Sea. You know he loved all his grandkids. He talked about doing things for them all the time. And one of them is even going to cast who he was going to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. Rip ol' sea dawg!

I don't think I ever really had the pleasure of chatting to Sea, but he'd always been here as long as I can remember. There are some people here that even though I don't know them all that well their absence is still felt as a loss to all of us, and Sea was that sort of guy.
