Revenge can be bittersweet,

but if you sit back and watch...

Karma can be pure entertainment.

Wouldn't it be funny if breast implants came with a squeaky toy inside?

In my home state of Indiana,

you're considered an optimist if you believe spring will arrive before late April

or early May.

Thursday, March 21, 2024, 6:51:37 PM- March Madness
It's that time of year again.

The NCAA college men's tournament kicked off today.

The NIT started Tuesday.

Two schools from my home state of Indiana were selected for the NIT -

Butler and Indiana State.

Butler lost a heart-breaker Tuesday by 1 point.

Indiana State won.

Purdue (also from Indiana) is one of the favorites to win the NCAA tourney.

The state of Indiana is well represented this year.

BTW - the term 'March Madness' originated in Indiana to describe the annual high school tournament.

Every school, big or small, played until only one school became the state champions.

Have you ever seen the movie 'Hoosiers'? That's what it was all about.

Until 1998, when the powers that be decided to divide the schools into 4 classes.

Now there are 4 state champions every year instead of one.

I'm kind of glad the NCAA stole the catch phrase.

It sure doesn't describe high school basketball in Indiana any more.

Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 7:09:09 PM- Tedious
I just watched a 13 minute video on how to make homemade biscuits.

I watched more than I wanted, because the elderly southern woman was so charming to listen to.

I prefer the basic 'drop biscuits' my mother used to make.

Put self rising flower and milk (or buttermilk) in a bowl.

Stir with a spoon until thick

then drop onto a greased baking pan and put them in the oven at 350 degrees.

10 to 15 minutes later they're done.

That's all - quick and easy.

If you want gravy with them,

put bacon grease in a skillet,

add flour and stir,

then add milk and stir until the thickness is what you want.

Pour over the biscuits for a homemade delight.

Monday, March 18, 2024, 7:33:53 PM- Is it wrong to laugh?
I saw a lady friend with false eyelashes make the mistake of opening the oven door to check on dinner's progress.

She yelped

and when she turned around it looked like she had had a perm done on them.

I left the room and laughed into a pillow off the sofa.
